Coach your FM26 save
Raise the potential of players who had a strong last season, and give faceless newgens a photo.
Notices
- “Cut” has changed. The fewer games played, the bigger the cut (it varies a little by player), players aged 21 and under are never cut, and goalkeepers lose less. Only your league is turned on for cuts at first, and you can turn it off too.
- Fixed a bug where some saves showed “Couldn’t find any leagues in this save”. Please choose your save again.
- “Cut” is now open. First-team players with fewer league appearances last season than the threshold (default 10 games) have their potential and ability lowered a little (default 5). Turn it on in the settings and choose the leagues to cut.
What do you want to do with your FM26 save?
When the game gets an update, it takes us some time to catch up, so this may not work for a while.Built for official FM26 26.3.2. Saves with heavy use of the editor, mods or extra leagues may not load.

How Save Codi works
Save Codi is a free tool for Football Manager 26 (FM26) careers. It runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install: choose your save file, pick what you want to do and check the settings. By default the result is saved as a new file, so your original save stays as it was.
- Boost — Reads each player’s league record from the last finished season in your save (average rating, goals and assists, appearances) and gives the players who did well a small rise in potential. You set the cap and how much each stat counts, and each league can be boosted once a season.
- Cut — Optional and switched off at first. Lowers potential and ability a little for first-team players who hardly played in the league: the fewer games, the bigger the cut. Players aged 21 and under are never cut, and goalkeepers lose less.
- Facepack — Gives a photo to faceless newgens, the players the game creates. The photos are AI-generated faces of people who do not exist, picked to fit each player’s region, skin tone and age. You can take the facepack on its own, and then your save is not changed at all.
Common questions
- Is my save file uploaded?
- No. Your save is read and rewritten inside your browser and never leaves your computer. So that you can carry on next season, the site keeps only a small record for each save: which seasons were already coached and which photo each newgen got. Your save does not change until you press "Apply", and if you choose to overwrite the original, a backup copy is saved first.
- Which game version does it support?
- It is built for saves from the official FM26 26.3.2 update. When the game is patched, Save Codi may pause for a while as we check the save format again. FM27 saves will be supported once the game is out and its save files have been checked.
- How do I install the facepack?
- If the facepack came as a zip, unzip it first. Move the whole folder into Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 26 > graphics > faces (create the graphics and faces folders if they are missing), then restart Football Manager. Keep only the folder for the save you are playing and don’t rename it, so next season’s photos go to the same place. The same steps are in the guide inside the folder.
- Is Save Codi an official Football Manager tool?
- No. It is a fan-made tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Sports Interactive or SEGA, the developer and publisher of Football Manager. Fan Football Scout is run by Esper, an individual developer in South Korea. Questions and bug reports: Contact page
